Topic: The Deeper the Higher

Text: 2 Kings 19:30; Colossians 2:7

2 Kings 19:30 (KJV)

And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

Colossians 2:7 (KJV)

rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

The deeper the higher means if you want to go up, you have to go down first. The deeper the foundation, the higher we can go with the number of floors. Jesus said to be great in the kingdom of God, you have to go down and be the servant of all. The more you serve, the more you rise. The more humble you become, the higher lift you experience. The deeper the higher.

This principle can be applied to building a business, a ministry, a project and a life. However, for these you have to think root and fruit. Take root downward to bear fruit upwards. The deeper the root, the more stabilized the tree. A tree with a shallow root can be fallen easily by any strong wind, but it takes a tornado or a hurricane to fall a tree with deep roots. There is a level where the root will get to no tornado or hurricane can uproot the tree.

In our walk with God called Christianity, we take root downwards so we can ascend in the things of God, in results and in the things of the Holy Spirit. We take root downwards when we spend quality time in fellowship in the scripture. We also build deeper roots when we engage God in intimacy. Spend time in worship until we begin to have conversations with God during the worship or in the silence after worship.

The fruit will be a life of greatness and the blessings of God

Prayer Points:

1. Father, help me to commit to daily reading, studying and meditation in the Word in Jesus Mighty Name

2. Father, help me to take root downwards by pursuing intimacy with You in Jesus Mighty Name
